Streampix: Comcast's Answer to Its Netflix Problem? [Streaming Video]
Comcast is about to launch Xfinity Streampix, a new video-on-demand service for Comcast subscribers. Will this really keep people from quitting cable to sign up for Netflix? More »
I don’t think this new service is going to do much for the people that want to go to Netflix. I think it is more of a convenience of having all your entertainment choices on one account. That could be a big plus to having this streaming service through Comcast. However, DISH has had a streaming service for sometime and that is whom I have. I get streaming, DVD’s, and so much more. For as little as $10 a month and free for the first three months it is definitely worth it. A co-worker also told me that I could use it on my iPad also. I think Comcast has an awesome product that they are releasing, but it sounds like they are planning to make it available to only certain customers.
